Capitol Water Corporation has filed an application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission with a proposal to increase rates by 6.004% for recovery of capital expenditures since January 1, 2024. If the Commission approves Capitol Water’s proposal in full, then customer bills would be evenly increased by 6.004% across all rate components.
It will take several months for the Commission to accept, reject or modify this rate increase request. Capitol Water Corporation’s application for a rate increase is a proposal, subject to public review, and a Commission decision. A copy of the application is available for public review at the offices of both the Commission and Capitol Water Corporation, and on the Commission’s website (puc.idaho.gov).
